I'm just looking at weekends that I have free.
I'm usualy at a big hunt on arthurs lake island that weekend but thought I'd give it a miss. if it ends up just us three I have a top spot but I have to remember how to get there. It on the farm and it's an area I haven't been to for 12 years so I'll do a bit of scouting over the next week or so. Camping near a waterfall but I doubt there will be much water at the moment. how ever we have had a bit of rain so you never know

right well I'll do a bit of homework on the tracks and get a plan together.
the old v-strom will get a workout from memory but it will be interesting. I'm up there this weekend so I'll see if I can find my way. the falls are sort of under table mountain on the lower marshes side

Sounds like a nice plan. 'specially with Scott's idea of a fire! 'xept you guys are prolly too fast for a slow confused plodder like myself and that the West Coast may be calling too (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...=217088&page=3 Bird River / Mt McCall Track). But if everyone prefers to go towards the center ... why not ... ? Anyway, for the time being I assume that some bods may want to go to Bird River / Mt McCall Track and we'll take it from there. :-) a.

If we get a few people I'll throw the chainsaw on the quad when I go out for a look and make sure theres a pile of wood stratigicaly placed for us
I will place a warning here though depending on the weather some of the tracks may need some imagination to visualise as tracks and not as marshes So plan to get a bit dirty depending on theway we go to get there. but it will be a fairly challenging ride for the bigger bikes so cameras are a must
