Thanks.

I do not, presently. I had an Emig one, and it puked it's guts out in Baja and it's sitting by my front door in a box that needs to be shipped out for overhaul. Obviously it wasn't much of a priority.

Steering dampers are really not necessity in sand, IMO - they just save energy.

That's why I'll probably buy one for my next off-road trip. Thanks for your reply

Laugh Goes to show ya..

The right tires are everything (well almost, the rider has "something" to do with it)
Excellent job on the video Hilslamer. You are very talented.

Cool video Tim,

Those drag races look like a hoot.......sign me up!! I'm guessing the 990 has the legs on the drags but you'd sooner be on a dirt bike with less weight for much turning and technical courses.

Hey Aurel, we should get a coupla those tires shipped to Morocco and have some dune time over there

Ride on.....

Pyn

The paddle should bite more, the knobs I had them leave for flotation work a little too good for absolute traction...but it was a good compromise. I had Scat-Trak make the tire, out of a D908RR, and I have over $250 USD in it all told...but I'm goign to keep it a while, they never really wear out...

I think a SuperEnduro with that paddle, and the forks slid out of the triples as far as possible with a cushy rear spring, would actually make a helluva dune machine. The Adventure is just too heavy in front to be really effective..perhaps also a big, wide front tire for flotation? Dunno...
