I am looking at buying insurance for my motorcycle (About to be transferred to me) and would appreciate it if anyone could point me to an insurance company that is motorcycle friendly.

I have just lost my Chatterbox alarm remote. Would anyone know where to get a replacement?

I am in the market for insurance too , all the premiums seem about the same , and you dont get information on exactly what is covered untill you get the policy so it isnt easy to commpare .
Western QBE had the worst cover/most loopholes of all the house policies that Choice compared, but does this apply to their auto products too?

And of course if the insurer has a mind to quible and delay payment for as long as possible this would make a big difference too, so any tales of woe in this regard would be helpfull.

I have been using Shannons but they don't seem to fond of "dirt bikes" so I have my bike insured against theft ,falling off a tralier or having a car hit it that sort of thing works out not too $$$$$.

Try Swann - they've always been bike friendly - I know they do a lot of Harleys - be sure to tell them how much you plan to ride the bike - I know Shannons are only interested in "Limited Use" bikes.

Be sure to read the Product Disclosure Statement to make sure you know exactly what is and is not covered. If you are unsure about certain details ring them and ask them to explain. And be sure to give them "all" the correct information about driving/riding history and any previous accidents or fines to avoid any disappointment when it comes time to make a claim.

I seriously think you may have too much spare time on your hands

But I do take my hat off to anyone who takes time out enough to notice the small things in life. Good on you!

I get back in Adelaide on the 12th and I am sure dogsbody gets home then too. How about a couple of cleansing ales on the Thursday night of the 14th? At the usual spot (the Avoca on South Road)! Maybe some of the others would like to join us
