Off to Robertstown and then I slowed everyone down with a rear flat on the DR. I got out with a tyre problem and black topped it back to Gawler with MikeF in tow. It's 7pm and I reckon they'd still be out there ............somewhere.

We saw some mud like you encountered but nothing like yours ended up.
Trev when you slowed I was then behind Kym the ride leader, next juction I pointed the direction to go...waited cause I didn't remember seeing you go past but was not sure...went to the next junction hoping to find out....no one at the juction...the wider road curved left but the straight ahead rd looked like the go.
Went straight for around 2kms...no dust no sign of anyone, turned around back to the junction & took the other option down to the tar...still no one.

Guess I made the wrong choice, sorry I missed you, once I worked out where the hell I was & what direction Adelaide was I headed back to Gawler on the blacktop...pretty boring on an XR @ 100kph

That's tough luck Tel, perhaps we should have used Kipo's version of the Cornerman system? Who can you blame for forgetting about you?

No drama I got home but the cornerman system & sweep did not work as cornermen are not to leave the corner until the sweep moves them on.

Bad luck about the tyre, while riding the blacktop I thought "wonder if Trev got a flat" there were a few rocks on that track.

Hope I didn't cause a drama by missing the group but I had no choice in the end but to continue.

Must get one of those

A big thank you to DRTrev and Sol for letting me try out their bikes today . I want both bikes but I do not believe the Finance Director will allow it. Oh well I will have to get farkles for my bike instead.

Thanks again MB for the great ride and I hope your tyre pressures are OK .

Mate, I got a 2 inch rusty nail straight through a brand new M21 and ruined an equally new HD tube. The bloody DR rear rim wouldn't allow the tyre bead to seal properly so I was worried about putting sideways pressure on it on the dirt so I opted for straight up and down riding back to Gawler. It still hasn't popped the seal. The rim will get a going over at GC's in the week. It ruined a fantastic smile I had on my face 'cause a few seconds before I'd tried to drown Sol who slowed down for some muddy water just as I was poised to overtake him on the blindside.....I was pissing myself.

If anyone ever tells me that the car tyre lever I carry with me is a waste of time, they've never had to mend a DR rear puncture on the side of the road.

So did you get 'left behind' after I bailed out to head to Gawler at the Kapunda to Morgan road?

After you pulled over I waited at the next junction, the pack went past but I didn't remember seeing you so I went to the next junction...no one there...the road to the left was the same width as the road I was on...I went straight for around 2 kms....no sign of any bikes or dust, so I turned back & took the road to the left (we came up that rd) again no one in sight.
I had 2 choices, go back again & try the straight ahead rd or continue to make my way home. I took the 2nd option.

Must have missed you lot by at least 10 minutes, I was at or near all the places you mention I left truro at about 12:45, then came back 5 mins later for fuel, then headed off towards Gawler, Kapuna etc I reckon if I had switched my bike off I might have heard you lot over the next hill or paddock .
