Do they have tow and ambulance services ;)

I always wondered why people don't just make these and open to public, wouldn't there been some sort of legal issue since its their property and someone could be injured/killed? My understanding is unless you have your lawyer read the waiver your signing its not worth the paper its on in court...

hopegully

Gday, Regarding Hopesgully, its about 15km east of Peterborough.
I have been there once a few years ago, a young child walked away from a camp site and was lost for a few hours, I helped the police search for him on my bike.
The country varies from mallee scrub to hilly areas similar to Mulga valley(free riding area) near Terowie.
Good luck to them

Traffic cops are not allowed to traffic split any more unless going to a job. So not that good in traffic after all.
They are pretty pissed off about this, so make sure you don't go zipping past one sitting in the traffic they are likely to pull you over.

Lane splitting is legal if you stay to right of the cars and left of the white lines in the same lane. . I hope the cop on his bike can come up with a better excuse.

Must be very small cars or very wide lanes in SA

Is that all of the bike and rider must be left of the line or just the wheel track? It doesn't seem possible to have that much room between each lane to achieve - and maybe that is the purpose of the rule.

its common sense if there is wide enough gap then its easy to do it, some lanes are wide enough and some are not.. , last time I asked a cop on a bike, thats what he told me, its quite legal , but make sure the gap is sufficient, I know some will have trouble getting the heads around it

Nice Segway but it's an SA Ambulance SPRINT bike and when they are under lights and sirens they have an exemption from the road traffic act, hence if they really feel the need they can lane split all they like. I have tried it in my ambulance but Merc Sprinters don't handle all that well on two wheels......

Ive seen cop cars parked in no standing zones while they go to an ATM, Ive seen cops on bikes riding side by side like a couple of outlaws weeving thorugh traffic, I dont think our laws apply to them

Yes it is common sense if it is wide enough, but the stuff about the lane markers and left and right mumbo jumbo smells like crap. I wouldn't believe it unless I saw the regs. If it is wide enough, its wide enough regardless. There is a difference between splitting and filtering of course but the only thing I can think about filtering being against the law is "passing on the left" (and of course dangerous driving).
