+1 for Hoey's. Mention that we sent you......best shock/suspension specialist in SA IMHO.

Would love to but working all this weekend unfortunately.

Happened to drive past Ferries-McDonald CP today. Got home and looked it up. Sounds like there's not much but a few walking trails (might be misread as 'single tracks' by a few here!). Didn't have time to check it out unfortunately.

If you go that way, there's about 400m of roadwork (dirt resurfacing), on the Chauncey's Line rd, on the Strath side of the CP entrance(intersection with Ferries-McD Rd). Might have settled a bit by the w/e, just a heads up.

Just spoke to Hoey Racing and he said they can service the BMW Shocks for about $150 or I can probably buy a Ohlins for $1600... I guess not much to lose by taking it in for a service since its already off the bike :P

Anyone heading to the 24h trial this year for a look/drink/camp?

Haven't been in years, wouldn't have a clue where to park the tent these days.

Keen to head out this year!

Rossi Sledge of the Century

Found this in Darryl Flack's column in Cycle Torque:

Honda's most recent statement regarding a possible Rossi return to Big Red went like this "Valentino left Honda because he wanted to prove that it was the rider - not the bike - that won races and we believe he should continue that quest with Ducati...."

Christ I wish I was smart enought to come up with something like that.

Knowing where to camp is a difficult thing to plan. We tend to roam around during the day but keep an eye open for opportunities......the need for heat and alcohol generally dictates the when.

If today is any indication it's Gunna be a cold 24.

Most of us meet at the main control at the start, Kapunda this year.
Watch Kipo go & then go and tour around watching various padock sections.

I'm taking a swag & I'll find out where TJ's having the fire.

Try and meet up with some of us at Main & find out what we are doing, we only work it out on the day.

Actually, Pete, that sounds like a good idea. I'll have some sleepers on board so maybe we can hatch a plan and then meet up before dusk and set up the wagon train...

I'm on Annual leave during the 24 this year, so I'm in for both days.

Gotta get up Sunday to see Kipo finish.
