HahaHa....come along to a leisurely ride he says.....do a few dirt roads and enjoy the scenery!
Well......that all went out the window quick smart!
My little venture, pictured above, was really a case of coming into a corner too hot and overcooking it.
Reminder to Con.......the 640 weighs much more than the 525....stopping & cornering are now different....recalibrate the brain son!
Still....lucky to remain upright on that corner cause I was shittin' the proverbials as I over shot into the grasses.

Adventure was soon to follow as the creek was now a river.
Leading the way I instantly decided we were going to cross it anyway......Just!
Footage at end of the report.....all sorts of mayhem & dramas there.
We were soon back into it.

Dramas continued as I lead through some singletrack, only to have a pretty thick branch come through between the tank & the crashbar and stab me in the groin.....JUST missing the left goolie!!
The blokes say I was catapulted off.....the things you do when the Contour helcam is sitting at home!

Then a friggin Calf runs towards me at some pace and stops just short of becoming my next years supply of beef burgers!

Craig, being a local, soon decided a local fire track was in order....just to get things interesting! Hahaha

Seems the rain gods had dumped half the happy valley dam onto this track and Craig was having some bother.

Craig finally christens the new beast....now that's what a new Tenere should look like mate.

Wasn't more than 15 metres when we came across this beauty.

Bubba & Brett discussing the strategy.

Craig's brother, Scott was having a ball.

After another, particularly eventful (Yes Brett....I have footage) boghole, we stop for a well earned breather.

The big bird in it's element.

The only way to cap off and adventure ride.

Big thanks to OzJuJu (Craig), his brother Scott, dzl (Brett), and our new Hungarian mate Bubba(How did you keep that new bike so clean??)

It was great meeting everyone today for the first time and also great to see what was originally palnned as an easy ride out turning into the challenge that it became.

Here's some footage to view.

Cheers Fellas,
Con.

Great job with the video Con, my missus is shakin her head

Found out some interesting things about my bike yesterday,
1. It's awesome to ride
2. It's a bugger to clean
And
3. The rear indicators are not waterproof!

Pinneroo caravan park charged us $15 each for a bed in a cabin and for the 1 star swaggers $5.00 with a parting gift of a bottle of home made scotch. Bordertown $10 to swag it.
Another enjoyable weekend for all.

AT, I've got 2 weeks off as from Monday 23rd of July, been forced to take 2 weeks leave. Main focus is installing a new ceiling & kitchen but would be keen for a ride if your free during that fortnight.

Howdee Dave,

I'm playing it by ear for a ride over the next 4 weeks, see what the weather does.
I'm toying with the idea of a ride up to Mt Dare..

Last 4 weeks I had off I finished my Man Cave

.
Maybe an ADV BBQ in the warmer weather?

Got a fridge you might like too..
