Knackers you seem like one of those blokes who thinks he knows everything and likes to feed his ego with wrong information, you know nothing about my old bike, and all your doing is badmouthing my old bike and the mechanics at kessners. I can Guarantee 100% the good condition of that bike , its never been flogged its been serviced regularly, . So I kind of dont know where you get off talking crap ..

I would like to clarify this a bit ...

generally I have a very high tollerance to pain..
When I have gone to hospital with two broken wrists and the last single broken wrist they ask whats the pain level.
I have replied 2 or 3 out of ten and not really looking for pain relief.they usally walk away shaking their head.

on the last stretch of our ride down south ......with my core body temp lower than normal and using the clutch all day, the action of pulling in the clutch was nudging about 8 of ten on my scale........that was without any pain relief all day.

apparently the bones have healed but the tendons and nerves are still getting used to the idea of change and that will take quite a few months I suspect.

During the planned ride I will take some bifuroin and that shoudl be fine, but by the end of the day to tackle all the stop light changes going all the way across town I would be looking for something far stronger and after a full days riding, a couple of beers and the extra strong painkillers I would probably be as high as a kite ....

so Iam taking the trailer option

Can't find the spotted thread on this bloody phone.

Just saw a couple of bikes loaded up in the main street at Roxby. A BMW 800 and a KTM 990. Didn't get to say g'day as they were taking off as I pulled in.

Be nice riding weather out here but the mornings are frickin freezing.

If I was buying new, then absolutely.
Now I'd consider myself as parochial as the next South Aussie but to limit your scope to just SA may not be the wisest move if there are plenty of interstate bikes on offer.
These decisions are generally taken based on a range of factors, not just where the bike is.ie. price versus buget, kms, service history, costs of transport, added extras, warranty availability etc.
I think I'd be right in assuming there's no ill will towards those who do buy interstate as both Billy & I have done, with excellent results.
For the record,
I think your ex bike at Kessners is at fair market value, given the mileage and lack of add ons.....Engine protection bars, Panniers & frames etc.
Knowledge of it's history is certainly a bonus.
Cheers,
Con.

It was a joke Joyce. It said "insert comment here"

And I did originally say "Gateshutters old bike is probably a good buy as inmates here know its providence, but there may be other bikes out there offerring better value"

Nothing at all about the quality of your bike. You should read my posts before claiming I'm the "know it all".
