I agree with PBee, Arkapeena 4WD Track is relatively easy but a lot of fun.

Our group also had the key & we rode the loop 4 times in a 2 day period. I was on my KTM 625 SXC with a full long range tank & no probs. at all.

It's pretty easy to get around & has some great views (especially from the lookout), only takes about 3/4 of an hour on a bike.

My Sister & Brother in law are writers for a national 4WD Magazine & they took their Nissan Patrol towing an off road camper trailer around it for a product test & photo shoot for an article quite recently.

Cheers, Sol..

I use a Canon G10 & a cheap Lumix T20 when on the bike, small enough for the tank bag.
I also have a 5D Canon but it's too big for the bike.

I think the biggest thing is when you see a photo stop and take it.
How many times I've ridden past something & thought "I should have stopped".
Take lots of photos too, you're bound to get a keeper.

Cool2 New Motorcycle Licensing Proposals

Hi all here’s a chance to have your say in SA, saw an ad in the paper recently, (yes I know I picked it up in a moment of weakness, I usually get my news on line).

There's a handy feedback form on line but I urge you to read through the proposal before typing in any smart ass comments.

As an ex Rider Safe instructor the road safety thing is close to my heart and this can affect all of us in the future. That’s one of the reasons I started adventure riding, too many clowns on the road! Better to get off it!?!

Keep in mind this has come about through statistics and information gathered over a few years, and though you may not agree with all of it, I assure you the information / ideas have not been put forward lightly.

The info and survey can be found here:
sa.gov/towardszerotogether

Cheers bwvtom
