Question Wtf?

Looks like Elizabeth hasn't changed since I lived there.

Wear your butt-protectors fellers, I hope this doesn't become a trend.

Just some questions Hekot. What side of Adelaide are you? What terrain are you looking at? and When? Oh, and do you like pies or pasties?. Not sure about 'experienced' but I can get you from point A to B.

Ride for Noobs

Hi there Hekot, and others,
I keep my eyes out here as well because i definitely fit into the noob category. I went on one of MasterBrewers rides recently and i was made to feel very welcome. Did suffer a slow speed fall in a very short sandy stretch (which does not bode well for my planned Simpson Desert trip in April/May) but the day, the ride and the company was great.

I tend to just lurk here and look for something which fits in between work and other stuff. I would love to ride on the 15th - 17th weekend but I'm giving my daughter away on the 16th and I fear that missing that particular date might not go down so well with my family. After that weekend however, I will be looking for some release as well, so i will definitely keep the eyes open.
Cheers

I hopefully will have my replacement bike next week and will be looking to go for a southern fleurieu ride in the coming weeks, It will be very cruisey as my confidence still has a big dent in it (as well as a broken thumb that is still giving me the shits) Sing out if you are keen. Meadows Bakery for breaky and end up at the Greenman for lunch.... just thinking out loud at the moment
p.s. the Staintune looks heaps better than the stocky unit.

Hey OJJ, If it's after the 16th, I'm keen. I will keep an ey on the thread to see how it develops.

Speaking of the Simpson... i might as well give my planned trip a last plug. Leaving Adelaide 30th April and back on the 6th May. Back up 4 x 4 tray top (with driver) booked to carry the essentials - food, drink, fuel. Trail bike to Marree then on to two wheels to Dalhousie, Rig Road route to A. Knolls and then back up to French Line, on to Poeppels and Birdsville. I'm getting older so I am planning the slightly easier route. If anyone is keen to give it a whirl, send a PM.

Meanwhile, the Southern Fleurieu looks good.......

Cheers

Just curious as to how many SA members would be interested in mid-week day rides or overnighters? A show of interest? Noobs welcome (although it'll be run on a PM invite basis) and we could work on planning trips to areas that help brush up on particular riding terrains, eg sand/rocks/single track/hill climbs, etc. I reckon there'd be a few that'd enjoy such rides but work odd hours or work weekends. I'm thinking Tuesday to Thursday with flexibility of planning to suit the majority. Post up now or miss out.

I think it`s a great idea a lot of people would be intrested

Feb. 19 arvo until the 21st 22.00?

Sand/rocks/single track/hill climbs in this order or any mixture of it, but no mud plz (ok you would be hard pressed to find some in SA at the moment but you never know )

Wednesdays are the best day for me for day trips.

Fri arvo-Sat is good for overnighters (as a rule).

Great idea. It would be good to have some rides with more of an 'instructional' approach.

Whilst I guess I'm still a relative noob as far as adv riding goes, if I can help out, let me know.
