It's definitely on my bucket list Matty. In fact Bernie's making his way to speed week on Monday and I would have been with him if it hadn't been for work.

Well you both need to come over before we leave to head north You are welcome to stay with us. We plan on moving up to warmer climes and a yacht this year.

You two will be the first to know if we head your way, thanks for the offer. I've got panniers and racks arriving next week and then working on the ACS (alcohol carriage system) and I'll be ready to roll. But, can't see a west coast trip on the cards this year and we're talking about a Cairns to Broome mega ride in 2014........ But it will happen one day.

We're back from our dash to Truro and back. That was a hot ride! Poor klxdude dropped the 400 a couple of times and the last time on Molly's Track ST was a ripper and guess who managed to grab a photo of the aftermath? Ended up being a little terminal though with oil dripping out from underneath as a result. Quick dash to Gawler for replacement lubricant and all good. I hope the damage isn't too bad. Barneyrubble was a no-show but we didn't know he had a flat. Met Bazzy at Truro on his Beemer 1200. He's looking for riding partners to the Classic. Photos to follow. Too hot to ride with any over enthusiastic effort but was still fun. thanks Dude.

The crash aftermath:

The oil:

Im a smartarse too, I pointed out to the Dude about no bash plate and no case savers.....necessary items on green or yellow (or black) 400's.

Hey Dude (I wonder if the Beatles every considered that for a song title??) have a look in the trail behind you there, is that a huge rock?? I reckon that might have been the cause of your fall and knock.

Pfft bashplates are for the week. Well bikes all cleaned and stripped, started it ip and seems the oil might be leaking from behind the front sprocket. Is there a seal in there thats prone to leak?

Thanks for the ride trev enjoyed it alot.

You may have dodged a bullet here Dude. Check out page 554 of the drz400 thread within thumpers here on adv. Sounds like a common old seal has given up.
