Anyone up for a midweek ride in bout three weeks time? An overnighter would be good....how about some sort of loop ending up at a property at Robertstown, campfire, BBQ, refreshments, swags, sleeping bags overnight, and then a slow start to the next day before some great tracks back home.......

I am eager to do some Kms on a new bike.

Yes.

30 litre with 2 taps.

Aftermarket.

No fuel pump in the tank to catch you out.

Everyone runs out of fuel at some time or other. Some just more often, or in a more prominent place than others. Usually a camera can make the issue a little more popular also.

If I have done my maths correctly Trev, this would be around the middle of May. If so I am in, particularly Monday Tuesday and Wednesday(13-15). While I do not have a fuel bladder, I will attend with a wine bladder or 2 instead. We may be able to organise a trade if I run out of fuel......

Well, that's a start of a plan. We could pencil those days in and see how it goes.

I've been thinking that I'd take the trailer up to the property early in the morning, unload the bike, but leave the vehicle there with fridge, swag etc ride to a meeting point, ride around the area, say up to Terowie, back to Robertstown, fire, food and fine reds. We have all the facilities there we need. If anyone couldn't carry their needs with them, I could take it there on the trailer, or we could all meet there and leave our stuff there until we got back....now there's a plan!!

Tuesday night would be spot on for me Trev.
I fly back from Melbourne on the Monday, And need to Drive to Roxby on the Wednesday Arvo. Thinking we could potentially venture south quickly and see if the big kitty likes a Taylors Run, before a run up the old Burra road and out to Mt Bryan through to Terowie.

Just thinking out loud........

They were my thoughts exactly....

Edit: the property has all plates, cutlery, bbq, premium drop toilet, 6 bunks with mattresses, undercover outdoor eating area and fire pit. Plus there's ample room for as many swags as required. Rainwater tanks and wash area also at hand. I might even trailer the PE for some laps on the property. Firewood is not a problem and I've got some cut sleepers in a shed up there......all good. In fact, I might even stay an extra night......'cause I can...

Oh, and Matt, I'll be right for wine, thanks mate - never ran out yet.
