Sadly, I missed the whole 24 hour thing.....
Came home from a big couple of days away on Saturday and just slept the rest of the weekend away.
Did pass Sundowner on the Expressway though!
Do you remember a black Merc passing you with everyone asleep inside? Including me!

Nice to hear you're roughing it up there.

I thought everyone was doing a food comparison! Weather's a little ordinary but better than Adelaide.

Rallye raids are cheap these days, so I bought a front and rear.

You can get 150-70-17 E09 Dakars for $219 150-70-18 for $229
and 90-90-21 E09 Dakars for $149. You can't get Rally Raids in 150 or in 17 inch rears. So not much use to you Pete.

Rich saw you walk through & thought I know that jacket & was thinking it must be Sundowner / Rich then you took off on the bike towards the next section.

The photo was from the BSA control point later in the night

Cheers Terry

Ride every day, Stu. Actually bought some wet weather pants last week - rain finally got to me after several recent drenchings. I see you're the last of the orange men.

Yep, did a bit of the run around the course looking for an old bike club mate, first stop at the BSA checkpoint, then went up to the Atajura checkpoint then Main, caught up with Kipo (resident Legend - your one mad/tough bugger, Kipo) then back to BSA for a couple of beers with the fellas photoed around the bonfire then about 8.30 rode towards home. My HID headlights also crapped themselves between Main and BSA, killing the battery, so I needed a push start to leave. Rode back to Kapunda on park lights and a bicycle led lamp @ 40 - 60km/hr only to find neither servo had H4 globes, so rode onwards to Freeling, where Arborsmarty was good enough to let me have the spare room until sunrise, for a run to work at 9am. A big thanks to Arborsmarty for his hospitality at very short notice. Was going to sleep rough on the park bench at Map The Miner in Kapunda until he phoned and offered his roof for the night. Thanks mate.
