Looks like it's gunna be in the low 30C's, so make sure you pack more than enough water for the track.
I have a friend with a flatbed tow truck if needed

Added you to it anyway, even if you don't know what it is :) (hint: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222390)

I should be nice though, that 990 Adv would squish me like a bug.

FYI 71 peeps on the list, pretty good from the 20-20 or so I had originally.

mikef - had to make you green, need to be eco these days you see, and there doesn't seem to be many other Kawaks on that list :(

Might be a little late, but I have 2 Uniden 1W UHF with little easy to reach mouth piece/speakers. One is very much on the fritz, the other works perfectly if anyone wants to borrow.

Fuel ?

If you would like to join us (usual disclaimer i.e. everyone's welcome to join me and as usual & understood at their own pace, risks & responsibilities), lettuce snow who we should lookout for.

A rethink of fuel requirements due to a B & S Ball at Pooncarie Saturday and if/when any fuel will be available Sunday morning after Top Hut.

Dangalli may be a bit challenging in places due to the current dry hot conditions (ie sandy) & a final decision on the Dangalli route will be made at Pooncarie Friday night.

Weather predictions for the area have been constantly changing and if temperatures are too high (Renmark's Sunday estimated dropped today now 34C), Dangalli route will be out for me this trip.

But in the meantime to help your calculations;

Estimated approx distances (ref NRMA map):

from Wentworth/Pooncarie = 120kms

Pooncarie/Top Hut/Mildura via northern Mungo Lakes = 310kms (including optional 70km Walls of China loop)

*Dangalli Route: Pooncarie/Top Hut /to Coombah Roadhouse (fuel) via Mungo Lakes excluding Walls of China, bypassing Pooncarie Sunday morning = 370kms

I'm now gunna take enough fuel for the Dangalli Route option whether we go or not.

Hope it helps.

P.S. BigM: thanks for the offer of your UHF, but KevS69 & TonyRDR have it covered.

So Kym

"to a Murray River campsite for the final night/sessiom somewhere near Berri/Lyrup rendezvousing with "The Couger" who will be sailing back to Renmark from the Morgan slip yard in his famous booze ladened "River Rover""

Is this bit still happening, we're just missing the Dangalli NP bit right?

Was really trying to avoid carrying fuel!

Thanks

Mike

If we split up, both groups will have to try to find where The Couger has docked for the night by phoning his mobile when in range.

I'll pm his mobile no.

Failing that I'm sure we can meet up & find a spot of our own on the Murray near Renmark/Lyrup.
