Does you have the disk or owners book? What does it call for?

Contact

Hy everyone
how can I power on only the fuel pump, without engaging the starter ?
i don't have any contact key, like street bikes and I can't power on even the odometer, unless I push the sterter button.
Thank you.

Try the high beam flash button.

I do not believe the fuel pump runs all the time until the bike is started.

Try pushing the "MENU" button on the odo to check. The odo light does not come on until the bike wakes up with a push of the high beam flash or the starter button.

Good Luck.

Right 10/40, right you are

I think you can cycle the pump by pressing high beam and turn signal together, or somethinglike that

With thanks to JVB, installed a powerplug and switch on the g450x:

Power Plug (behind silver tab at 10:00, connected horizontally below front right edge of the seat):

Switch (in place where placeholder cap resided):

Make sure the headlight switch is in the high beam position when pushing the high beam flash.

I think I've got an extra older one I could loan until you find yours if you like. PM me if you're interested.

i got one... but it needs to go with the bike... since you own the bike, and should technically own the manual as well, i dont think it would be a violation of copyright to make an iso and send it to you.

New G450X owner

Good to see that this thread is still active. I'm in the process of purchasing an 09 and will probably have some questions. I've spent the last few ADVrider sessions reading the entire thread, making notes of the post #s that will help, lots of good info.

This will be the first modern off road bike for me with the last being a Honda XL250 about 35 years ago. I'm hoping that the bike isn't too high-strung for me to learn enduro/trail riding on.

cheers,
melby

I'll let you have the old one for the $5 bucks shipping cost. If you ever find yours, just send one of them back. Deal?

Anyone know where the differences are in the old and new version of the manual? Also how does one know which version one has?
