I figured out what is biting us, they are ticks, just really tiny ones. I pulled one off me on Sat. night and another one on Sun. These are really small, smaller than the average pin head. I put them under the microscope to see if they still had heads after I pulled them off. I had the ticks on seperate slides, and both of them appeared to be dead. Today one of them is gone, so I guess he was playing dead.

I packed repellant on the bike now, my wife picked up some 98% deet in a travel size bottle and some deet wipes. That should keep those little bastards off of me.

Anyone need a sig line?

Easy Sinner, if Sanjo and DDDave want to, they can set up a separate ride in the afternoon. If I didn't have this meetin' tomorrow, I'd try to meet up with 'em for the afternoon ride.

alright, i guess im in. 9am, 445 / powerlines, green tundra / black LC4. Any agenda for the ride? Ive got to cut it short, so if there is a good loop around kismet or something that would be cool. I should be unloaded and ready by 9, so if you dont see me by 5 - 10 after, dont wait up. Ill try to post in the am if I know I wont be there.

They may be deer ticks which carry Lyme disease. If you get a reddish ring appear near the bite area, take a trip to the doctors and get yourself tested. It can be treated with a long series of antibiotics.

No, they just have a little straw on the end of their head with which they suck your blood. Its those biting gnats that are all jaws and teeth.

No red rings yet, just red itchy spots. I even have one on the taint spot.

I think I will pass on riding with Bronc's group this time, I am too busy with this loop I am working on.

I got home quite a while ago. I may put up a couple of pics later, but I gotta go get some beer now.

We put some more connections together for the route. Sinner left me on 588 right before a Game Warden stopped and talked to me. He was cool and just asked if we had plates, didnt want to see our papers or anything. Our conversation lasted about 10 seconds.

Sorry I couldnt make it, sounds like it was a good ride. I couldnt have ridden that long today though, and Im sure I would have held you guys back pace wise a bit. Had a pretty good high side wipeout a while back, decided to re-evaluate my purpose in riding: Im an explorer, not a racer!
Dont get me wrong, the LC4 is a beast and deserves to be ridden as such, and I like to nail the throttle from time to time, but I try to take it easier now, especially in the turns.

I pretty much have it laid out, just gotta keep pre-riding it till I have it memorized. You up for a Sun. ride BM?

All I got was a few pics of Sinner playing around while I took a smoke break. We were mostly riding, I did 145 mi. today.

Flame away Jaydee.
