Smoky Mountain Sunrise
A 7:00 AM sunrise deep in the Smoky Mountains. Taken on 08/12/07 while enroute to an early morning church service at the Nantahala Outdoor Center where we met before a day long back roads ride.

These are some sunset/sunrise shots taken while riding in my local mountains. In the 2nd pic, there's about a 3500 to 4000 foot dropoff just beyond my bike where the clouds built up right next to the mountain but oddly stopped at my elevation (about 4900 feet). The 3rd shot was taken about an hour later in the ride, looking back at the mountainside where I had taken the 2nd shot (the peak is 1 mile high).
