I'd love to see a link on the T-mod. What's the thought behind doing it? Trying to equalize pressure on the carb?

The carb can't vent properly. Causes the bowl to flood.
Lemme see if I can't round up the link from thumpertalk. http://www.maximum-suzuki.com/forums...,21395.25.html

The t-vent mod is all about breaking vacuum within the carb. The vacuum usually occurs when you allow a DR to take a 'dirt nap'. In the OE configuration, there is a rubber hose that leads from the vent port, on the carb, up and into the upper shock mount. I would assume its routed that way to keep debris from entering the hose. What I did was to cut that hose at its halfway point and add a "T" fitting. I then added some tubing which I routed along the frame and teminated it just below the rear brake cylinder. I provided pictures for a write-up on Maximum-Suzuki. Here they are:

I am sure most of you kow the original story of how muy DR350 came into my posession.
Well I pretty much hated the stock white/ pink/ purple/ yellow colors. I had to do some R&R before I could even ride the bike (THANX BigMaggot! ). Bearings, sprokets, a chain... and some other misc. stuff.Oh and a clutch, thrust washers and a clutch cable ![]() I guess that was NOT enought wrenching for me. Soooooo I decided one day to hunt down a few things in my shed. I knew I had a POS aluminum type case somewhere. I found it along with some rattlecan goodness. Found some sandpaper too! WEll you guessed it! I went to taking shit off. Here is the result. Before: ![]() After: ![]() Not too bad... but ehhh I can live with it. Still had that yellow and gay ass purple seat. hummmm lemme fix that too! I had also found one of those walmart seat thingies for an ATV, so it worked out for a few days until I located some new seat material. Before: ![]() After: ![]() Yesterday Morning I figgered id do me some mo' fixing! ![]() The black made it look like I had stole it... SO a chose a new color of Krylon Fusion Rattlegoodness! ![]() ![]() ahhhhh the tank you ask? Well I had done a shit job on it the first go around. No blow heater, nor sticker remover, so I just covered it with black I remembered a frien once got Gaste remover all over the inside of his engine compartment and did not spray it off ASAP. Next morning..... BARE METAL , what a dumbass... BUT it will work out just fine for what I needed! Now if you have been to hunt this stuff down at NAPA, it sits right next to a similar looking can of stuff that is $1.29 more. EXACT same contents. It is called.......PAINT STRIPPER! LMAO, I opted for the gasket crap. Anyways the tank needed a spray, scrape, spray scrape, and the 3rd time it took it to bare metal! all for $10 of chemicals (1.5 cans) The plastic took 1.5 cans to do all. Here is the result ![]() Not too bad... but it does not match the Suzuki Blue handguards NOR the Gay ass purple frame ![]() Off to the WalMart to get some balck satin Here is the fianl Result. OH, I also painted the mirror too ![]() I kinda like it! Except for the tank, it needs to be a bit broken up, so sometime this week I am going to paint from the seat to the front (including the cap) satin black. Leaving the sides the blue. I'll post thos when I get it done.
