I would be too if I was "walking the dog" for two hours!

I am looking at a 1995 DR350, the streetable version with electric start. Anything I need to be looking for? The bike has low kms (under 10,000km) and is owned by an older fella, so not too much abuse. The bike is bone stock other than a windscreen. I used to own a DR650 and loved it, just want something a bit smaller but equally as versatile.

Just "walking", not 'flogging'...

Corbin seat. Did I make a mistake?

After several years of hating my stock seat I found a good deal on a used corbin. Installed it last night and WOW...is it different. I can't say it is comfortable as I have only ridden it 20 miles or so. But I cannot figure out what Corbin was thinking. Do I sit up close to the nose for my legs don't sit on top of the "wings" or do I try and fit in the dipped part of the seat towards the middle and back. I am not a small person which it seems built for. This is really bothering me. I commute but also ride in dirt quite often.

Any experience with this seat?

thanks,

Pic for pic sake.

I've read that the Corbin is good for extended sit time and not so good for standing up off-road riding. Too wide. If you really hate it and want to get rid of it, they seem to do very well on the used market.

on an other note. I like teh wind sheild. Is that a "trash can" shield. Do tell.

It might be a Corbin dished seat meant for the vertically challened. I tried on on my ex klr and hated it within a mile. It was great to touch the ground, but riding it pushed me against the tank. I ended up with a Sargent for the klr.

Nope. That's a normal corbin seat:

I think the idea is to "cup" your butt like a tractor seat, but still allow you to slide weight frt/back. For the "wings" not to be horrible, they must be a bit soft. I was really glad when Seat Concepts started offering their foam/cover kit. It's excellent.

Got it from a Australian company....http://www.screensforbikes.com/

Was roughly $150.00 shipped. I really like it. Pushes wind from my chest to just about the middle of my helmet. Much better protection. I am 6'2" works great. You can get it in many colors or clear/tinted.

Just got this beauty on Saturday for $100. Two hours of cleaning/adjusting and one can of carb cleaner and it runs, surprisingly well.
