Just got my Grand back on the road tonight. Damn, I have really missed that thing.

New long arm suspension to go the the 4.5 inches of lift was just the ticket. Now to finish up the little details like new motor mounts, fix a couple of leaks, get it safety inspected. You know, little stuff.

New pictures will be forthcoming. Time to get her dirty again.

I'm envious. My next project will be a Scrambler on 40" tires.

Don't worry, I'm not going to cut up a rare specimen, I'm going to build all new, a brand new Aluminum body from Aquala on a Matkins frame, Dynatrac axles attached by a coil link suspension, with a brand new GM crate engine pushing through a four speed auto trans backed by an Atlas transfer case.

I won't be cheap, it'll probably take three years, but it'll be brand new, and less money than buying a brand new jeep and adding the apropriate upgrades.

No, just idiots who waste their time doing things like that. I took care of the important parts by antiseizing the bleeders and bolts.

Well, I reckon it is a waste of time in the rust belt.

Ahh .. I might as well put in a bit ..

Got five Jeeps in the fleet from a bone-stock '98 GrandCherokee with the 5.9L motor to a fully-modd'd '88 YJ running 38" tires .. two Jeeps in the fleet are winch'd and locked ... you get the idea.

You can find more 'bout my Jeeps over at JeepForum.com (I have the same screen-name over there) ...

Yep. Again this is my DD, tow rig, RallyX vehicle. I left it on for a change as I never had one on my previous XJ's. It doesn't seem to do a whole lot but it doesn't seem to hurt a whole lot either.

Seemed to help here

Is that recent, ducnek? I guess I won't be down that way again until April.

Those pics are from 11-20-10.

50 degrees and sunny here in TN. Perfect Jeepin weather.

73 deg today. I think I will wait on the hardtop till December next year

I'm envious of your locale. It's supposed to be 70 here today, too, so we have tornado watches to go along w/ it.

I'm jonesin' to go wheeling. I upgraded my wheels/tires and cut my flares a little while back. I have a set of OME shocks and extended brake lines to stick on first. Probably would have done that this past weekend but I was down with a cold.

New Jeep

I bought an 82 CJ7 the other day.

Boy is it a fixer upper. Everything I touch on it turns to shit.

It doesn't have any rust though.

It sat up for several years (soldier in Iraq). One cylinder is low. I think it has a stuck valve.

So far I've put new duals on it, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, steering components (all).

I don't have any pics yet. TBD
