Awesome thread, NWGS. "The Frau" asked if she could put an ADV sticker on the JP since she's riding support for us (after we get the thing to pass fucking emissions again - I'd like to punch the asshole designer that thought 50 miles of vacuum line was a great idea in the '89 CJ/YJ 285 I6. Doing a Nutter bypass and Holley recarb, and praying that works, or my nuts will be a hood-ornament on a dirt-only Islander.) I told her I wasn't sure of the rules...there were four wheels there. Maybe two stickers would suffice, one for each pair.

Either way, was neat to see some great Jeep photos!

Here's an old crossing of the Fordyce Trail. We are doing it and the Rubicon (much easier) this summer..

The next one is my buddy Jon, You can hear his wife in the background goin Oh my god.

Jon did the crossing first with the trailer then came back and got the wife and kids.
Jon is fun to wheel with

I took my Jeep out to Peters Mill Run trail with a buddy of mine yesterday. What a hoot. I go from wanting to sell it to free up some money for a new bike to never wanting to part with it. Still has a bone stock suspension and the factory tires and will go everywhere I want it to. Not that I don't want to throw a shitload of money at it.

I hear ya! I keep toying with the idea of selling mine, then I get in it and all of a sudden I am looking for somewhere else to pull mone from to sink more into it.

Ditto that. I don't get to use mine anywhere near enough. There is a ton of labor of love effort and more life experiences in that thing I can recollect at any given moment. I think it would cost more to sell it, lol. She's needing a new heart beat (no not anything chevy) and will get a transplant hopefully later this summer.

So we had bad rings and rod bearing. 3 cracked pistons after only 5 races.
Out she comes and ready to go back in.

Steve didn't like the red. So we painted it black.

This baby will be hauling me around the track next weekend.

Buddy and Dayzee are great mechanics.

My buddy Steve is a drag car racer but he puts up with Jeep racers like me.

He runs a clean shop, A clean shop is a happy shop.

Told ya it was gona be black.

Windage tray needed a little work cause of broken rod damage but here comes the oil pan.

Dayzee keeps a close eye on me.

Can you believe this hunk of metal will be 600 horses of power in about 2 days?

In she goes.

I'm never sure if Steve is happy with it or not.
