Bluff Creek, Bussey IA. Anyone close enough to give a weather report?

I'm hoping to head down there with a few friends this weekend. But, it's looking like a fair chance of rain everyday this week. I've been down there once when it was a muddy mess - I'm not doing that again!

I'm not too terribly far away, but I'd hate to drive the hour down there just to find out it's too muddy to ride.

So, is there any Inmates close enough to pop in on thursday or friday and see if its a mess?

Or, does anyone know of a way to get updated status reports?

Thanks!

Anyone from Ottumwa or Oskaloosa? Has it been raining all week? Is the ground saturated?

Wow, can you believe it, there is a whole web page for Bluff Creek ATV park? http://www.iowadnr.gov/Recreation/Of...inBoundary=249

There is even contact information on the page. Why not try contacting the park for information?

BTW, There is a thing called Google. You might give it a try sometime. It is amazing what you can find.

I can believe it. Well aware of it and the other one as well. Did you try the number on that site? Do you know the only contact number on that site is for the guy in charge of all IA OHV parks and lives no where near there? I wouldn't be contacting the park - only the guy that decides how money gets allocated to all the OHV parks in the state.

But hey, super helpful post.

Next time, before you decide to be sarcastic, you might want to check to see if you actually have anything helpful to add.

Google? You mean like this?

First off, I live in eastern Iowa not near Bluff Creek. But I saw on the local news this evening that the Ottumwa area is forecasted for 4+ inches of rain in the next 2 days. Take it for what it is, a forecast, from about 3 hours away........

Thanks Reedski - that's kinda what I feared. But, I'm in the same boat. I'm an hour north of Bussey and we've been getting forecasts for up to 80% rain chances all this week. We've barely seen anything.

I"m not adverse to taking my chances on Saturday and just riding down to see how it is. But, I got one buddy coming from 3 hours away and one coming from 1.5 hours.

I was hoping that there was an inmate that could give me actual eyes on experience.

Guess we'll just head down and hope for the best.
