Mr. Heater portable
I was two shakes away from picking up one of these and I went for an electric heater instead. Neither help with the summer tent I was using. I was hugely underprepared for the temps and learned a lot. I'll be more ready next time. Thanks for the reply.

That's what I'm working on too. It's a tough transition to make.

Mr. Heater portable
On a cold and wet fall trip up the BRP I got one of those. I was camping in the rain and started thinking Motel. Went up to the Walmart in Spruce Pine, got the 8,000 BTU Buddy heater and it made the trip much better!

I carry it in my 70 liter dry bag, with no issues. Its pretty beat up now, still works after three winters of touring. I like to put it under a picnic table on cold mornings when I don't have a fire going, it warms my legs while I drink coffee. I'm getting soft, no complaints though.

Mikemm, you seem to have a negative opinion but I couldn't find a picture of your bike and camping set up.

For those of you that think you need to make your snide comments please post your perfect bike/camping set up along with the remark so we can all see how much better you are than the rest of us.

Bike/camping snobbery is just as bad as any other snobbery. Do what you enjoy but why not respect what others do as well? Not everyone has the same style and this is a good thing becasue the world would be mighty boring if we all did the same thing. I joined ADV because there are a variety of people, bikes and riding styles but yet like so many other groups there are a few people that seem to think everyone should come from the same mold......
Go get 'em LB

I'm sick of the 'Holier-than-Thou' BS that a lot of members here exude!

Like LB says ... post what you got and let us rip your apparently perfect ride/set up apart!

Ya ... just what I thought ..... easy to hide behind your keyboards and be a 'Master' in your own minds!

Here's mine...

But honestly, well said. Each of has our own needs and wants and I've learned a lot by the pages and pages of posts. While we sometimes don't get what someone else is trying to accomplish, well, nothing wrong with simply not trying it ourselves.

Now youll excuse me while I go take pictures of my winnebago, cause as you know, its not adventure touring unless i can watch my flatscreen every night

While I do not fault you for wishing for a flatscreen, I much prefer 3D when getting away from the home and wife for a weekend, as seen in my pic at post 2528. You'll note I include more "creature comforts" than most when camping.

Are you accusing me of "ranting?"

Question

@ SpEd
I really like that trailer you are pulling behind your GS. Could you tell us a little more about it. Brand, maybe a website link, thought on its' construction quality and how well it pulls, etc.
My girl friend has taken a likeing to moto-camping and a small trailer would be a plus.
Thanks!!
