TMAT Canuck Loop

My brother and I just completed the TMAT Canuck Loop that crosses into Canada at Grand Portage, MN and then heads up to the north part of Quetico and then north from there to complete a loop around towards Thunder Bay and back to Minnesota. Three days of riding a mix of rocky off-road to some of the most beautiful twisty back country roads around. Two nights of camping, with the second night getting just below freezing.

My XR650L with Dirt Bags panniers holding Clothes on one side and cooking gear on the other along with bear spray and a few other essentials. Tank bags held small electronics, towelettes, spare gloves and sunglasses, etc. Dry Bag on rack held Marmot Ajax 2 tent, Kelty Down sleeping bag, Big Agnes Air Core pad, Tarp, Camp pillow. Bungee net secured my sandals and Camelbak. Tools in front and rear fender bags and lower tool tube.

All-in-all a great trip. I would pack fewer clothes next time and learn to share tools like tire irons and tire pumps between the two bikes.

Here's all packed up after the Berkshire Triple:

Gear:
Pelican 1520 with full tool roll, spare tube, mini air compressor, 6-pack
John Deere Tool tube with small specific tools
Kelty queen air mattress
Eddie Bauer mini chair
Coleman flannel sleeping bag
EMS camp pillow
EMS North Star tent
Mountainsmith gear cube bag with clothes and food

My camelback is just resting on top, adding to the tower. My side rack didn't come in time, or the rolls would be on the sides. Still worked fine and was nowhere near as top heavy as 2-up feels. Reasonably light gear helps. 6-pack doesn't...

That is just amazing. No way I'm posting pictures of my camping setup after seeing that.

That was easy. First time hauling that on the bike.

Next time I'm bringing:

14" Cast Iron skillet
Adirondack chair
2 bags of marshmallows
telescoping marshmallow skewers
2 growlers of 10 penny and a few 22's
porterhouse
.
