Anyone know where I can get spokes for an 86XL600r front rim?

The only place I have been able to find them is at the local honda for $4.50 a spoke! Or $162 for the whole rim...

Buchanan's Spoke and Rim in Azusa, CA

or

Woody's Wheel Works in Denver, CO

I don't know if they are cheaper by the spoke, but a set probably would be.

The local shop is usually good on having my tubes in stock, but not this time.

I shoulda took a picture of the staple, biggest one i've ever seen.

Thank you again for the specs!

As it turns out, the new aftermarket coil is no good. Well over on the primary and well under on the secondary readings.

One thing that baffles me though, the rep from Ricky said the reading for their stator is 'about 90 ohms' while Honda calls for 230-320. Is it because of the difference in gauge wire on the Ricky?

Did you buy a spare tube while you were at it???

Some of the time I only carry a front tube and have used it or the nearest size I could find if I don't have the right one. It's better then...

My plan is to carry 2 tubes from now on plus a patch kit. I'm gettin surviveristic...

Be careful. Stainless steel is not a good material to make spokes from as the metal is too 'brittle'. Everyone I know who has used stainless spokes has suffered broken spokes even when being built by a pro.
If you talk to Hagons (Here in the UK) the only time they recommend stainless spokes is on a trailer queen

Thanks for the heads up, i did not know that! And its a good thing i haven't ordered them yet. The other option they have is a plated carbon steel.

What is an acceptable spoke material for a dirt bike?
