This is my 12 year old daughter at her first race with the VCHSS, our local series, and she won! It feels like I got a second lease on life when she started riding again, she quite last year because I was being to tough on her. Fortunately, she decided she wanted to get back into it a few months ago and has been devoted to it ever since. I love watching her ride, and love it even more when some of the boys say "Wow, you are a lot faster than I expected".

Big day for her at the farm today....
...first day with the training wheels off the PBMW-50!
Another step closer to having a trail riding buddy. |

Why not? Let's make my first post memorable here.
I've been riding since I was 14 and my riding history was somewhat... checkered... yeah, that's a good word for it. I recently returned to owning my own motorcycles and wow, the bug bit me hard again. So, long story short, I ended up with a 2006 KLR 650. A few months later, I picked up a Harley. My then 5 year old daughter (now 6), pinged on the HD hard and fast. She asked me to get some pics of her with the bike. I'll share them with you guys. Nice thing is, I not only have one riding buddy in training, her wonderful mother is showing a spark of interest too now. Anyway, to the pics... ![]() ![]() ![]() Now, I have to find a place to hide the key... ![]() Mike

Thank you. My daughter means the world to me and I can't express the joy of seeing her take an interest in the things her old man does.

This is my daughter, Kenna. At seven, she has become wise to my sneaky methods of occasionally "slipping off" for some Daddy time. I was headed out to sneak in a dawn patrol ride last Satruday, when she came into the garage fully dressed with her helmet in had.
"I want to go, Daddy!" We had a blast...love that little girl. |

Congrats on finding a riding partner. My 3 year old seems to know whenever I'm heading out or in. She intercepts me when I come home from work. She hears the garage door opening and runs out to meet me all smiles. She grabs my hand and leads me into the house to show me to mommy while I'm still in full gear. ![]() Lately she's been telling me exactly what her gear is down to the last detail even though I haven't bought anything yet. She's been trying on her older brother's gear but he's 9 so it's waaaay too big. I guess I'll need to buy enough to do a "round the block" ride to see if it's all talk or not. Her brother was interested in the bike but kept saying he wasn't ready to ride yet. He came to me one day and said he thinks he'd be ready if he had a helmet and gear when he was 6. At least I have gear ingrained into my kids. They notice riders around here without it and aren't happy about it.
