IF you grow up, what do you want to be? IF you were to get shot, what would be the least favorite part of your body you would like to be shot in? If those don't get the repsonse I'm after then I'll make sure that I'm cleaning ALL of my guns when he stops by to pick her up. I've also told both daughters that if a guy ever shows up for a date and doesn't come to our front door to meet her that he can sit in the driveway until you know what freezes over. None of that pulling in the driveway and honking the horn crap at this house! |

One of the stories was the kid shows up and the daughter's not quite ready, so while they're waiting LEO Dad has the kid engrave his name on a bullet "for fun". Before the kid and daughter leaves, Dad makes sure the kid knows who'se got the bullet with the kid's name on it... ![]() ![]() OMG - I just found a link where a Dad actually did that! My daughter loves to go on short trips with me around town. Last year on her 11th birthday, we did a 3day trip to Durango, CO and back with some friends.
![]() She had a great time but after 1300miles in 3 days, she said she didnt' want to ride for awhile ![]() Now, a couple of months after turning 12 she has a different perspective on riding ![]() I picked up an XR100 and started teaching her to ride. Now thats all she wants to do - gotta love that! Although, she did say to me that when she turns 16, instead of a car, she wants a sportbike! Yup, I'm in trouble now.

First concert tonight
I love this thread. Our oldest is a boy, then two daughters - ages 13 and 11.
The 11 year old and her brother are going with me to their first concert tonight - Rush. Yes, I'm showing my age and music taste, but I figured why not their first concert experience be where the music is loud, the crowd is adults, but acting like kids, and the drummer rides motorcycles. It's funny. Without co-ordinating, I know two other dads that are taking their kids as well. Hopefully, I be able to post a good pic tomorrow. |

three
I'm blessed with three great daughters and have taking them riding since they were about three years of age. They are 11, 13 and 17 at the moment. They all enjoy it but only the youngest is interested in having her own.
I took the oldest camping to T.W.O in Georgia when she was 14. Rode Deals Gap, ate at Dillard's House and visited various waterfalls. I took the second one this summer and had a great time. The youngest is patiently waiting her turn. |

Just Got Her Provisional License
My youngest daughter Ginger, who is 17, tested in Franklin, NC and got her provisional motorcycle endorsement yesterday
. She has ridden a TTR125L for about 4-5 years now. Mom is so so in the happy department but I've assured her that I'll only have Ginger on USFS and rarely traveled back roads. Now I've gotta find her a used and cheap XT225. Smith Power Sports of Hayesville had a his and her pair of 225's about 6 months ago. Both had less than 1000 miles on them. I could have bought either of those for $1900 OTD. I made myself wait until I was sure this was what Ginger really wanted to do. My wife used to ride with me in the 80's and tells me she'll start back when Ginger leaves for college. After seeing Mrs foster out riding her TW200 with her husband a couple weeks ago, I can't wait to have Rhonda out riding with me. Things are looking up....Mark

I REALLY appreciate the testimonials you dads are giving about riding with your daughters. Especially how careful you are being about riding with/teaching them how to ride safely.
Like I said in my earlier post I'm inclined to teach my daughter earlier rather than later and showing these posts to my wife should help to ease her mind somewhat. Again. Thanks for this fantastic thread!! One more gratuitous shot of my girl!! :)

First daughter at Deals gap
This one is of my oldest daughter at Deals Gap three summers ago. She had just turn 14 a few days early. It was also a great trip. Super, super great memories.

A new addition to our family
My wife and I just had our first child Isabella Marie. I was a least able to take a picture of her on my bike the day we came home from the hospital. I can't wait until I can get one of her own.
