Thursday mornings are my 4th grade daughters chorus practice at school. I have to take her because the school bus gets to school to late. If the weathers good she always asked to take the bike. The kids are all out as we pull up. The 1st time the other kids freaked out, she they saw us ride up and she took her helmet off. She had a huge grin on her face too.

Ione flew solo for the first time today on her XR50...(click to play)

She'd been scared of riding without me helping her (despite riding a pushbike for two years) until I let go and didn't tell her. Now she tells me this is WAY easier than pedalling. Next stop: Grandpa's hayfield!

Great girl farkles!

My 8 y.o. daughter thinks those spoke wraps are "epic". You score some good Dad points there!

A friend of our sent her a decal awhile ago that she reminded me we needed to put on her bike...

She should be ready for the local spring trail ride this Sunday

Really proud of my girls, They both rode in the local riding club's spring trail ride Sunday. The club hosts a trail ride and Blind Enduro every spring. My youngest took first last year in the kid's class. This year she got 2nd

My oldest didn't get scored. Her times were supossed to be on a different section of track but the timing system crashed so no times were recorded

Both girls (and I) had a great day riding

Our 5yo really didn't want to go to kindergarten today, and I got an email from her teacher letting me know she was upset, but making it through the day. I figured I'd cheer her up by picking her up on the bike. Judging by the smile, I'd say it worked!

Holy cow! She is 5? What do you feed her? Looks at least 8 to me! My 8yo can't reach the pillion pegs on my V-Strom and she is considered tall in her class.

Sounds like a similar thing that happened to me just a few minutes ago.

The wife and I swap days on taking her to school, today being not mine. Turns out that it's beautiful this morning, and my 6yr old is all upset because she wants Dad to take her on the bike.

Told her I'd make it up by picking her up after school, which means she'll have to stay in the after school program for a couple of hours.

"I'll pick you up on the Tenere this afternoon, deal?"

"I don't care which bike, I just wanna ride, Dad!"

Proud moment.

Both our girls are monsters, she especially has been off the growth charts since birth. I have no idea where they got the height gene; definitely not from my side! I measured her the other day and she was just a hair under 50".
