Well I finally got the SOB out yesterday. Gravity helped out alot.

Got the new/used trans ready to go back in. Going to replace the rear main seal today since the trans is out. Looks like it is going to be a PITA putting it back in laying on my back. The 700R4 trans is a heavy bitch to put on the floor jack under a truck.

Ray. That just sounds painful! Don't try puttin
it back in alone. I have a small floor jack.
Low profile. Great for that kind of work.
Its good for gettin stuck trucks outta the mud to.
Dont have to dig as much to get the jack under.

I didn't, Chad came by the house and helped me get it back together. Once we got the heavy bastard back on the floor jack it went back together kinda smooth. Carter enjoyed your boy's company too.

Big props out to Chad for the hand.
Thanks Bro.

Sorry Ray, I forgot to tell you it was for selfish reasons. I wanted to get your butt to that ride I want as many ADV'rs as we can get out there. Not only for a good cause but a ride-n-eat which we havnt done really on one of our dinners. Sort of one dinner in Sanford and then went to TW's house to enjoy a fire. Had a good time even though I am whooped! I forgot how much work it was actually doing some work on a car

Ride Aid!

A fellow inmate over on the NCNC ToR game had the great idea of putting together a spreadsheet of NC inmates who would be willing to help a rider in need. He's already started it up, and wanted to extend it beyone the boundaries of their game.

It's nothing formal. Just who you are, your phone number, what city you're in, and pertinent information like if you have a trailer, truck, or tools available. It's non-committal. Nobody is saying you have to respond if someone calls you in the middle of your anniversary dinner. Just a little something that we can keep on our smartphones for those times you find yourself stranded and need a hand.

David is collecting the information. See original post below, and shoot him a PM if you want in on it.

I would be glad to collect data and distribute it via message to people that wanted to participate. Any thoughts?
Example: Bubba LaRue
Phone: xxx-xxx-xxxx
City: Clemmons, NC
Restrictions: Don' t call between 12-7 AM
Have Trailer, Fair Mechanic

Ok fellers! Can we get any suggestions for a July event? Maybe a late lunch and a ride? As of right now I have no suggestions but one may pop into my head. Never know. I might see if I can plan a route around here and get a dinner together at County Seat restaurant in Lillington. They have a bikers meeting every week and always bikes parked on the street the food is really good, decent priced, and the owner works along side the other employees.

Ok guys. Anybody interested in a welcome home dinner(lunch) at Pik nPig in Carthage on July 6? Say round 2? It's Riding Donkeys welcome home dinner from Afghanistan. Reason it's at a place we ate at recently is even though the weather sucked we had a great turn out plus its RD's dinner and he likes it.
