jlnance, jddirtbiker and my bike

Next stop cplrooster's family beach house..

Our hosts:

The kid's were sleeping...we got comfy and and had some good conversation .....you know....maglights, guns, tasers, bullet proof vests...nice bedtime stories....

It was around 1:00am when we called it a night...that was after a walk on the beach at night with flashlights...

All in all a GREAT evening!!!

The next morning....

Lots of activity....cooking...kids....eating....beach fun.....

He'll be a lady killer in a few years!!

Breakfast was delicious!!! Tyler did the cooking...

Pancakes...mmmmmmmmm

Thick cut bacon from a local butcher...a MUST for an Advrider Breakfast (thanks for the tip Bender )

Joel made some crepe's and they were VERY good as well!! Everyone enjoyed the breakfast...especially the kids(Joel and JD)...

While we were waiting for breakfast and others to arrive...it was a beautiful morning for walking on the beach. Here are some pics from my walk:

Back at the beach house other's were playing in the sand...

Tyler's son Thomas said he made this sand castle for me

I think JD was having alot of fun too! Here is one to send back to your mate's in Minneapolis...

Left the kid's playing in the sand..

Found some cool shells...thanks to Tyler's wife Rachel for taking them back to Raleigh for me.

Back in the house...Donna is getting some practice in...soon to be a Grandma

Josh had to leave soon after breakfast...was great to meet you!

After more eating and crepe's and a little more time on the beach...we all started to gear up for a great ride back...

Pics next...

Tyler was a great host and had bit's of 2x4 all cut and ready for us to lean our kick-stand's on so they were standing nice and straight the next mornin vs. on their sides in the sand:

We were all kitted up and ready to go...and then.....mechanical problem...Sweetfeed's bike key mechinism would NOT work

Alot of experienced wrenchers on hand...they tried EVERYTHING...and that bloody thing was locked up and not going to budge

I call this next one

No Man Get's Left Behind

Luckily Donna drove down from Southern Pines (where Rachel lives) and Ron had all the gear on his truck for towing a bike That is what you call the Advrider spirit and lucky for us ex-marine so he is ALWAYS prepared

It took some time to get it all secured..Rachel and I enjoyed standing to the side and watching...

Once that was secured we all jumped on our bikes...Rachel went 2-up with Mike...and Meanstreak a.k.a. Ron was going to lead. Ron knows this area VERY VERY well and promised us some good riding...

He did NOT disappoint!! Was tough keeping up with him..he posted the earlier pic with the GPS showing 135mph But it sure was 200% better than the freeway

One or two stops

We did some great back roads and passed alot of interesting scenery - FAST.....

The sun was out and no rain...for most of the ride! The group had to part ways about 120 miles into the ride back some going west and some going north.

JD and I hit some rain but luckily it was just at the time we decided to stop for dinner..and was all finsihed by the time we were done.

Great Weekend and Great Memories!!!

Thanks everyone!!
