Shogs called the dealer tonight and told them to get it ready, I was coming to get it tomorrow. Not sure I can since I am teaching an MSF class starting at 11:30 and going until 5:00.

Thanks Gordy, it was the fun I had on that ride that compelled me to want to ride dirt more. Have not ridden dirt much since I broke the ankle and I did not realize how much I missed it.

.....like find any way to get my hands on one of these things, because I think I'm just about sold....I can't imagine the power of the LC8 in a more capable and nimble package. Holy shit.

What is it with these things?

I was sittin' on an SE at the dealership just this afternoon, thinking how silly it was, how impractical, how small the tank... and how much I wanted it. It was bad, I tell ya.

Jeez, there was a 690 SM at the other end of the row, and behind me a new 450 and a 505, and the new 300 and 250 XCW's -- with e-start, bof'em -- and a 250 4-stroke... not a dog in the lot, and nothing would improve my skills like a nice single, a real dirt bike. And what am I getting drool and butt prints on?

A big funny-lookin' 950 SE. Jeez.

When I was picking up my 950 SE today Badlands was getting ready for thier demo day on Saturday and so they had a number of the other models avialable for a ride...took out the new 08 450 xc...all I can say is WOW...what a frieght train....then a 690 Super moto...man can wait to see that motor in enduro..had to stop there or I knew I might be leaving with more than one bike and actually made me think twice about the 950R...well not really...

By the way, fellows, I've been waiting almost a year now to have company on the East Coast with my SE. It's now broken in with 9,500 miles!

If you want to really see what the capability of this bike is like, you should come to NJ in October and ride Jack Splash's Pine Barrens 500! Three days of spectacular stuff. Check out:
