My DR in the moto parking area on campus. I'm actually surprised I don't have a picture of my bike next to a helicopter, I shall work on getting that.

Sweet shot, the Gorillas "Mig Killers" from the 58th FS of the 33rd FW out at Eglin AFB. My question is where is Debary, FL?

Almost forgot, sweet DRZ too!

Looks like it's right outside Orlando. Not sure why an Eglin bird would be on a stick there.

Memorial Park

OK, well I decided to try google to see what I could find out. The location is Memorial Park, it was opened on Memorial Day in 1999 to honor local veterans and heroes. Turns out Airmen 1st Class Brian W. McVeigh, hometown of Debary, FL, was one of the 12 airmen from the 33rd FW killed in the Khobar Towers bombing. Might have to swing by the park next time I'm visiting Orlando.

Question

This is not a picture, but a video. Also known as a moving picture.

Super Cub is in the intro:

You only have to waste 20 seconds to see the Cub in action.

Regards,

Mr. BigWheel

I could have told you, but it's more fun when you figure it out yourself!

My BMW1150GS and my Dad's Thorpe T-18

We were cutting and rewelding the Staintune Exhaust system so I could mount boxes on the ride--by Dad can TiG weld and I cannot. He's retired now to a small 'airplane community" and is a A&P mechanic who earns his fun money working on folks planes. Behind the bike is his Thorpe T-18. I can remember the day when he brought home a cardboard box full of plans. We personally [Him actually] fabricated and welded/riveted/bolted everything onto that plane save the cowling which involved complex compound curves and he had to buy that. He's also very proud as every rivet on that plane is countersunk and flush--very clean lines. He's also rebuilding a Bü-131 Jungman for someone which you can see behind. His Jungman is on the other side of the hanger out of view--beautifully crafted european biplanes.

Yeh but the Orions are still on watch!!!
We hosted the Atlantiques out of Keflavik. They were good AC and had great crews!

Hated to see them go, just as I will hate to see the Orion retire. The P-8 looks to be a great replacement ....just wish I could have helped to bring her onboard!

What timeframe was that? I flew out of Kef several times in early 90's. We might have run into each other! Had Dinner at the Windbreaker a few times during the earlier deployments... Good times!!

Not an Airplane, but also a flying wing - this guy almost had a bad fall with wind surprising him - all was OK
