You time approaches in the citation with a calendar.... This is coming from someone who used to make a living flying Twin Otters.

Great Thread! looked at all the posts going back to 2007 ;) Yes... I'm boring as hell !

This is from The Blue Hangar Cafe just north of Dallas:

The red and silver plane has just landed, the other is waiting to gas up and taxi out.

It's pretty tight, between where they land and where they sit.

Sweet :)

Some nice chaps ... friendly group there for sure.

Can see where the planes sit, the cafe, and in front of the cafe is where they gas up the planes before take off.

This is where it started to get a little hairy for me. That's my 08 black FJR, parked too far away from the building... hey! my first time here! I didn't know...

The Blue Hangar Cafe is a really cool place... motorcyclists and pilots hang out together, both inside and out when the weather is good.

This is when it got a little hairy... I'm taking pics and thinking... "sheet, that's gonna get very close to my bike!!"

That planes wing went right over the top of my bike! No, not just the edge of it! the wing! That's what noobs get here, the sheet scared out of em ;)

Same place where they land, now someone taking off :)

Yeah a great place to check out, have some breakfast and see how others that enjoy a similar thrill live. The bikes park at the Hangar (stay close to the building! duh), cars park elsewhere. Enjoy the food and the company... tell some stories :)

Cheers

Hey, I used to fuel S-2's there when I was in college, and I used to race an old GPZ750. And.......................I'm from Nevada City. How's that for coincidence?

Nice Pic!

I fixed up an old Honda Trail 90 over the winter and am glad it is now running. I rode it out to the airport on some back roads and the CL 215 water bomber pilot gave me the OK to take some pics.

I'd love to get one of my plane and bike together but it's impossible to arrange, but here is one of my machine parked up in the Caribbean.

This is the "Hanoi Taxi", the last C-141 ever to fly and the first one into Hanoi to bring back POW's after Viet Nam. I had the privelege of helping maintain this old gal until her retirement in May 2006. She is now resting at the National Museum of the USAF.

Always liked the C-141 - looks like an airplane should but all business. I lived under the final approach to El Toro years ago and they would fly over.

Might be a while before they start sticking real stealth fighters on poles outside Legion halls.
