Here is the link to closure reports but everyone says they only update it like once a decade. We had some good rain for 3 days this past weekend in Trabuco. Any frequent riders know how quickly they might get this open? I would for sure go Friday morn if they open up. |

My guess is without more rain the gate will open Thorsday or Friday, but then again, depends if it's that time of the month for the Ranger. I'm riding Thorsday.

okay, I'll check the message board for responses since I'm aware that the state's website isn't up to date
where do you enter these trails? are these the fire roads that you enter from silverado or the trails south of ortega? I want to checkout the fire roads that you can drive up... thumpthis - unfortunately neither of my dirt bikes are road legal, and I'm just going to peruse up the fire roads with my truck northsouth15 screwed with this post 01-30-2013 at 10:06 AM |

Where are you coming from? Ortaga side you can go south side of 74 toward wildomar via S Main divide or north side of 74 via N Main divide. North will take you to peak. If coming from OC take Maple Springs road. ![]() .

Wildomar
How do wildomar and south divide compare to heading up maple springs? I have not ridden any of them, but live close to Silverado and want to get to the peak. Are the first two worth it if silverado is still closed tomorrow?

I'm coming from Long Beach, so the maple springs road way is preferred for me thump - if you want to do some elementary exploring, and don't mind waiting for me every now and then, let's meet up on Friday morning and check it out from the Silverado side I'll drive behind, but just FYI, I only have a 2wd truck with all season tires |

There are trails there that are fun?? The only thing I know of is a turn off to left 1/3 the way to holy jim that goes straight up towards the peak. doubt it is very navigable right now. Hopefully they open the damn gates tomorrow. |
