Keep the stockers and put them on the bike while you ship the "aftermarket" (whichever brand you chose) off for the rebuild. Keep riding and swap back when the rebuild is complete. It does not take long to swap them and for the week or so you will be without the aftermarket shocks you can keep riding.

Never lend a friend your Pacific Coast. Unless you like scratches and want a beer annuity
