Well, it's home.
I think it's an 05, I didn't even look that close. Silver, black wheels, orange & black graphics. It needs a good polish, a rear tire for sure, I'll probably do both. Maybe brake pads, and a slightly dirty carb from sitting. All easy stuff to do. She's not quite ready for pictures yet. I realized after I got it home that it has a skid plate and the rear rack on it. I'm very pleased.....................and maybe a little excited.

Emilio,
Great looking Sherpa! If I didn't already have two Sherpas in the garage flanking my KLR 650 I'd be driving up your way to check it out. Will let my local buddies know about it. Best of luck on the sale. John Chandler, AZ |

Cold Blooded
Just out of curiosity... Is anyone's Sherpa cold blooded like mine? It takes a while to warm up but once it is going it runs like a champ. Its an 02 with 2100 miles one it.

I like that TCI screen. From what I can see though, it wouldn’t fit with risers installed. …good luck with the sale. |

Mine are both a bit slow to warm up, even on a hot AZ summer day. One is a 2000 with 7k miles and the other a 2009 with 1800 miles. Once they are warmed up, they run beautifully.

With the rejet, not a problem. Above 50F, 20 seconds on the choke and you can ease into the throttle. A couple blocks like that, and the choke can go off.

I too am in Arizona and trying to sell my Sherpa. Send me an offer!
Up for sale is my 2009 Kawasaki Super Sherpa, with lots of extras! 1729 Miles - Located in Phoenix, Az $3800 OBO Always factory serviced, even for oil changes. 250cc, air-cooled, 6 gears Happy-Trail Tubular Tail Rack National Cycle Deflector Screen Barkbusters KLR 250 Matching Front Fender (Stock fender will come with the bike also) TCI Skid Plate with Engine Guard TCI Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard Exhaust Insulation Wrap Wolfman Expedition Tank Bag Giant Loop Great Basin Saddlebag (Yes it fits!) Rotopax 1 gallon Fuel Pack Rotopax 1 gallon Water Pack Locking Rotopax Mount - This bike has only been down once and the damage done was to the shifter, which we pounded straight again. It doesn't look pretty, but it still works just fine. Shown in last picture. - The last time I rode my bike to work someone broke/picked the lock on the small stock tool kit and stole it. Unfortunately I did not notice until I got home. I had intended to replace with the larger 'farm' tube anyway, but never got around to that project. This listed price includes all accessories, including bags and Rotopax. I'm willing to negotiate a lower price minus these accessories. Sorry not interested in trades.

I see that you insulated the pipe. Looks good but I understand that can cause the fuel-air mix to run leaner, a condition the SS seems to already possess and most of us have corrected. What was your experience? Did you notice any difference? Did you have to rejet a little richer from where you had your jetting before the install? While I'm on it, I guess wraps have shown an increase in performance/hp on some dyno runs for other models. Did you get any noticeable performance benefits out of the wrap on the SS? |

Noticeable performance vs stock? I guess maybe a bit off the line. This Sherpa has not been re-jetted, but has always run lean before and after the wrap. I wanted to re-jet but did not want to do it myself and could not find a reliable mechanic here to help me, so it never got done.
Please help spread the word, any reasonable offer considered. If I sell this bike I can quit one of the three jobs I'm currently working and finish school this semester!
