I wanted to beat the rain, so I hurried out there and back, but it never did rain this afternoon.

Do you know why was that road closed?

I can only guess.

A) it's in really bad shape

or

B) The history buffs were at the bottom of it firing a CANNON up the hill.

either way the the armed park guard/ranger guy was NOT happy with my usage or my ignoring his yelling.

We finally got some rain in Burton around 730.

Tag

When you drop a tag less than 10 miles from my house, I couldn't pass it up. It took me longer to get my gear on.

To keep things moving along, I'll use a file photo so everyone can get started early tomorrow to get it.

Next up:

Hint: Return of the buzzards.

Damn, I only took 5 minutes to get the picture loaded and you already posted.

Let's see how the SPOT idea flies. I can easily set up another email/text broadcast list. It's what I have setup for mine.

What is SPOT?

Slowly Puttering On Trails?

Sneakily Poaching Or Trespassing?

Simply Put Off Topic?

I just ended up at Bath Nature Preserve, was originally headed for the park where you placed the new tag. I just headed north on Hametown road after Rogue's Hollow and that's where I ended up.

There looked like a lot of activity at the bottom of the hill, lots of vehicles leaving when I got there, but why do they shoot a cannon up the hill? Is it a reenactment of some historical event?

Let me know when you're going to be in my neighborhood again.

Have you all seen the newest spot? Connects to your smart phone via bluetooth and lets you update Facebook and send texts where there is no cellular service.

Yes, I've seen them, but can it still send if the phone is dead. That would probably be my luck.

I'm up for mud, just let me know when. I might bring the KLR though, since it has mefos on it. I'm still looking for another set of rims for the 800.

Actually, it is kind of muddy now. I shot the tag photo from the clean side. I also got a new beauty mark on the panniers yesterday crossing the rails. I went down in the slag/gravel. Got to find a better way to cross rails on the heavy bikes. Anyone got any tips?

The photo for the next tag is a file photo, and the bike is clean in that one. The dealer washed it.

The tag at the mill ? This weekend was the Rouges Hollow Festival In Doylestown, they have tours and a historic baseball game down by the mill. Uptown at the square has festival food,a few vendors selling "stuff" ,games for the kids, car show, bike show and a few bands. They just got done with the fireworks , I live about 2 blocks south of the Doughboy on the square. I would of liked to get the tag,but I didn't have a good place to put it when I got it. I thought about moving it to Iron Butt Neils driveway so he could get in also. Hard for me to go far on a plated dirt bike. Someday I'll get a real bike ,like the rest of you big kids.

Civil War encampment kind of thing.

the Rouge's Route

Nice talking fire behind all the structures

the hill getting to the area

the 205 tag pic

cool place and area. If the other Michael wants to be generous and lead a tour of some of those sweet roads I would definitely be in.
