Ahhh. Communication breakdown. I thought you were making reference to my CDR RR where someone asked me that question and I snarked back to them.
I had no idea the background of his (and now your) comment. Until now. Now, you're not calling me a poser due to my brand preference, are you? |

Fill the tank with fresh fuel with stabilizer. If you haven't had stabilizer in the fuel that is in the tank, overdose the new fuel you are adding accordingly. Run the engine for 10 - 15 minutes to get the stabilized fuel into the carb. Do it sooner than later so you are getting winter blend fuel with higher RVP for easier starting in cold weather. Top off the tank leaving just a little air space at the top. The tank vents through the cap; if you don't leave some air space, fuel expansion will cause liquid fuel to find its way out on a hot day. When it is time for an oil change, switch to Mobil1 or equivelant 0W-30 synthetic. It makes the engine easy to start in the coldest weather we get around here. When the skid shoes wear out, switch to the high density platic ones from the larger units. ![]() They wear well, stiffen the side panel with their longer length and slide easier. One more thing, pull the shear pins in the augers, coat them in a waterproof grease and reinstall them. It will make your life easier if you break one next winter. Company hat off

Ok - I'll retract the poser comment having read TBCDRRE. It is a tough SOB who drinks beer instead of coffee and harvests his own foreskin to make a jacket liner. I'm just happy to know that the whale wars people are now protecting you from yourself.
