I checked for prices and it was over 300 euros. I need to check actual prices, but last year I was quoted about $350.00. I'll check the pprices again and I'll get back to you with references.

Thats a fair price... And believe me, the 40+ Euro is worth every cent. Quality is much better as Laser, and it doen't come with that cheap looking strap across the muffler, but is mounted on the bike on the original exhaust mountings...

And the sound... Wow... The Rino will convert your Vtwin engine in a fat 900 cc Ducati look-a-like sound. Not that tincan rumble you will get from the Laser...

could be got a shed load of snow in Aberdeenshire Scotland, but shout have an ice free lane to the house over the week-end so will get a bike out, as the major roads are clear

does anyone have any idea where to find the original tank stickers? first model with the 3 colors. I presume i can get them done but i was wondering if there is any old stock around.

Hi Frankenbeemer,

I tried to get the original rear swing stickers but they are not available any more.

I found an excellent alternative in a local advertising company who made exact duplicates of the originals.

I guess they can do the same with the tank stickers.

Just got a call from an XLV owner here in Oz that doesnt have a computer, he needs a full gasket kit but Honda OZ says not available anymore.

Any ideas ??

Honda can only deliver spare parts from stock up to max 25 years after a model was cancelled.

Internet is the only remaining option... Maybe you could order the parts via Internet for your friend?

The XLV expert here in EU is Rolf from Switzerland: www.xlv.ch. Rolf helped me out on several occasions. A friend of me has also several parts. I will send you his e-mail by PM.

I have seen few pics of the bike with a central stand. does anyone know what brand name is it? i have also heard that you can use the central stand aftermarket of the first transalp and modify it a little to fit it> does nayone has any experience with that?

You can fit the mainstand of the 1986/-87 Transalp 600. But it isn't available anymore...

i have been trying to understand what is the main difference in the engine between the first series and the second series (limited). What did Honda fix that was not so good in the first engine (3 colors tank). I remember i red something few months ago but it is so blurred now..
sorry if this has been discussed many times but i am slow today...

Well... to be honest I can't tell you for sure, but for what I know the first series had some technical issues (gearbox, oil cooler, etc) which have been modified on the MK2. I own both (MK1 and the MK2 Limited) but since I am still working on my MK1 (I haven't used it for a single mile...) I can't give you an objective point of view...

I just bought one of these - pick it up tomorrow. Have wanted one for ages and took a chance on this one that's been stood in a garage for four years, but owned by the same guy for 12. Will post pics as soon as.
