While I usually don't give a second look at these v-8 powered hogs, this guy definitely gets major props for using a period correct v-8 flat head power plant.

I had totally forgotten about those flathead V8 bikes. IIRC there was some connection to the legendary flathead guru Honest Charley. Either through the engine build up, or the bike itself.

Honest Charley's
They have a guy building their bikes using mid 30's flathead V-8's. They usually have 1 or 2 on the showroom floor. They have gotten much better over the last few years. They sound Scha-weet! 1 speed good to around 90 mph. I can't imagine wanting to take one much faster. Stop in and Mike would be more than happy to crank one up and let you listen. It's also fun to look around Coker Tires museum while there....and maybe pick up some vintage whitewalls for that bobber project. One stop shopping, as it were.
