GS500 and earlier 450s are buletproof little buggers. I'm glad someone else likes 'em as much as I do!
Here's my old racer that was turned into a streetfighter. ![]()

there ya go. Take that motor and put it in a hardtail frame with a peanut tank. Instant bobber. That you can still get alot of parts for since the motor has been the same from 89 -2007.

now it's blue ... and I'm adapting suzuki brakes (maybe do some "parade" racing later?)
Matching my '44 chief.. looks a little bit dull without decals.. I may go back to silver paint later, but then it will be a full airbrush design. Now I just want to start riding the bike, and maybe turn it into a showbike later.. I painted the bike in the garage..so it was cheap:) It's more flashy with the blue color though(and it's my favourite color), but it also looked very nice in silver.. before the gas tank started leaking. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm in the process of building a bobber. I should have the bases covered between this one and the cafe racer. Both are Yamaha XS650's.

Sort of a bobber, sort of not, this Indian was at a recent vintage bike event in Phoenix. So many cool features about it like the two six-shooters welded up as highway pegs.
More photos here.
