I don't now anything about this bike except what is writen (Ex Paris dakar race bike, Huskvarna frame, overbored to 820 with Ducati pistons (Alpha romeo 1760 does the same), 1 of the 3 bikes build) You can see it's a single carb.

All 5 seconds of it? I'm pretty sure I've got a DVD around here somewhere...

I don't think those C-clamps are gonna hold that shock on so good...

What kind of fork are you using? - Looks good so far!

Front forks are from an XT 600 courtesy of rw4x4van. All the back end is from a Suz DR 650.

The lower shock mount is done and I just finished a mock up of the upper mount/ bracket. Hope to get it welded up this week.

I really do like this idea. Its basically turning an XS650 into a Triumph Scrambler...just less reliable. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...=271814&page=3
$700-1500: XS650 on CL.
$450: High pipes - http://omarsdtr.com/exhaust14.html
$465: Icon shocks - less if you wish
$20: Fork gaitors
$60: Fork brace - new
$100-200: Tires - MT90s. Again, less if you wish
* Remove mirrors or fold out of way.
* Engine guard and dresser bars would be good.
* Lower the tire pressure & change suspension settings.
* Remove or replace fenders for mud clearance or to avoid damage.
* Remove footpeg rubber inserts if possible.
* Position bars and controls for standing up.
* Loosen control pinchbolts to reduce likelihood of breakage.
* Replace or remove turnsignals if easy to do.
Not sure what else. I think the focus would be on making it lighter, and less prone to damaging parts.

As another option, Enfield sells a whole line of parts to make an Enfield into a scrambler.

I realize the engine is a stressed member of the frame (obviously) but do I see a shock mount on the cylinder head? Damm!
