Thanks.
I really appreciate the help, but I have some requirements.
I need a copyright-free image to work form.
I require a very large image file.
A straight-on side shot would work very nice if I do the prints as a series.

This is easier to accomplish with a production motorcycle.
Much harder to pull off with a hand built bike.

Thanks again.

Mark

I wandered through the pits at the Indy Mile last weekend.
Here are some of the new school of thought bikes.

EX 650, there were 3 distinct frame styles for these.^ This is one of the side mount cantilever monoshocks , no linkage.

Verticle monoshock with bottom linkage.

Central monoshock , no linkage. This is the 2nd place bike of Bryan Smith.

Then the Ducati that Jake Johnson had me on my feet with for the first part of the race.

I was hoping , but, not to be on this night.

This Triumph made the main.

Shayna Texter's Factory bike blew in a heat race.Tough night for her.

Suzuki SV 650

Suzuki TL 1000

KTM 990

The Baer Brothers KTM Team chatting up the Motul reps for some oil sponsership.

The Marquez livery bike that he didn't ride. Scared handelers ?

One of the Harley -Davidson XR750's ,pretty much the Standard of Excellance for 30 years. And just when you think they're fadeing out , they come back STRONG and win this race pulling away. Kenny Coolbeth rode like a man on a mission !
An XR also came in 3rd. I guess you can postpone the retirement party.

One more ,'cause it's Olds Cool.

SO much cool stuff!! Is it just me, or do the laced wheels on aluminum rims with flat-track tires look so damned cool that I want that look for a street bike! I have always thought the combo of those wheels/tires on a big single or twin on a short wheelbase tracker style just oozes power and speed.

After the 2013 Night Before the Indy Mile, I decided this was something I had to try. Here is the bike I started with, a '68 DT1 frame with a later reed engine and a lot of Suzuki parts.

Here it is almost done. Just need some fine tuning and number plates.

Thanks! I haven't had it on the track yet. I've been doing some grass trackin' swapping back and forth with my stock DT3 to compare the differences.

That is so nice! Leave it on the grass track. I wouldn't race that bike. Enjoy it as it is!

How far is the cradle dropped? Looks like an inch and a half? I went for two inches on mine.

That frame is stock, but I did do a 1.5" swingarm stretch. Yamaha made the later round tube swingarms longer, so I think that is where the biggest gain is. I did buy a 2" dropped '69 frame. I'm leaning toward making an MXer from it, but might do another flat tracker. Here is the dropped frame.

Any of you guys who made the Indy mile get an photos of Sammy Halbert's side radiator Kaw??? I'd like to see that setup.

Speaking of Sammy, what a tough break today in the TT, or maybe I should say lucky break since he rode away in the cart instead of the meat wagon!
