Here are a couple shots I took at San Jose of the bikes.
You can see Irv doing his book work in the first shot.
Don Castro rode a second 750 Kawi.

Was this before or after Kenny Roberts did his craziness on the TZ?

I don't speak for Valleyrider but, after K.R. did the deed with the TZ the A.M.A. came down on mutis and two strokes pretty soon after.

This killed anything other than 4 stroke twins in the 750 class.

Not quite sure of the dates and 1975 schedule, but Kenny won Indy and the all the multi's started coming out of the woodwork. It was the end of the 1975 season that saw the ban on anything with more than 2 cylinders.
The photos I posted of the Kanemoto Kawasakis was late in the season if I remember correctly. Besides those, Rick Hocking rode a Honda CB750 4 cylinder. There were other attempts to make various other multis work.

A co-worker of mine, Don Green built a trackmaster framed Suzuki GT750 with a close to TR750 specs as you could get. Pat Hennen rode another Ron Grant built Suzuki triple during the year. Steve Baker and Skip Aksland rode Yamaha TZ750 based bikes, but none of these had the success that kenny was only able to put together at Indy.
This photo is of Don Green's GT750 on top of Mike Renslow at the Sacramento Mile. It almost "Killed" Mike and I don't believe the bike was ever run again.

Pat Hennen on the Ron Grant Suzuki

And Kenny on the "Monster" leading Corky Keener and Rex Beauchamp at Indy

Only the two of the Kawasaki's that I posted are mine. The rest were found on other forums and the web. I have no problem with you using mine. The rest are probably race photos by Dan Mahony. Dan did a lot of AMA nationals and most California races back in the 1970's and 80's.

The straw is still suspended in the photo of Mike Renslow. What a great and ghastly shot!

This was posted over on the "Flattrack.com" page. The photo was taken by Dan Mahony who was luckily close by. Story that accompanied the photo said that Dan shot the picture on the run to help Mike. Mike wore some kind of beads around his neck and they cut into his neck pretty good, enough that he was in trouble because of the bleeding. The straw still in the air is testament how quick Dan got the shot!
