It's an interesting point; but think about it. If unlimited development/technology were allowed in Class C, the cost to be competitive would be a LOT higher than it is. While I don't necessarily care for the one-make dominance, the racing (particularly on the miles) is as good as any on the planet. And 25 grand to 'get into PRO racing...' (at a competitive level) is a relative bargain.

I think you missed his point of sarcasim. It's 25 grand to go racing on the Kawasaki's. It's over 80 grand to try and compete with an XR750.

We need the other brands so racers can afford it. Not many can afford the HD.

His sarcasm indicates that Harley is keeping anyone with less than 25K out of flattrack.

Did he get this worked up when 2-strokes were banned from MotoGP?

Would people have been happier if Harley killed development of the XR and directed all of their efforts on an RR500-based 750?
