AFAIK that shoud not be the case. Surely there are some folks here on ADV and in this topic that are in Bosnia now, and could provide more up to date info.

Po narudzbi... Dovozim do granice i predajem title i bill of sale.. a kako dalje.. to ne znam. To sve zavisi od drzave.

DeeGee,

You have been misinformed about Bosnia. It's a beautiful country. Majority of the people are hard working and honest people. They do in fact love foreigners and they are great hosts. Wherever you go you will be treated with respect. Hell, some people will even offer you to stay with them for free, and offer you 4 course meals, 3 times a day. There are some things you have to watch out for:

1) gypsies - they do like to pick-pocket your money.

2) theft - make sure you store your bike away at night.

3) land mines - stay away from the grass around the "front line" areas. How do you tell? Blown up houses, burned down houses, etc. They are in process of de-mining those areas, but unfortunately it will take years, and plenty of victims... Most land mine areas are clearly marked with red tape.

4) talking politics - it's a sore subject. it's better not to talk about it.

With that said, enjoy your visit! You will love it.

I've been searching the web and got myself a lonely planets travel guide for the Adriatic coast, which is where the missus and I will be travelling in the summer. Any things you can recommend that we must visit while we're there??

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

Well there is a ton to see, but shortly, these places: Trogir, Šibenik, Split, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Ston(longest town defence walls after the great wall in China).

PM for details if you wish, cheers

Look up Pula in Istra (Istria), northwest part of the coast, coming in from Italy/Trieste
