Hi Robbie,
BG visa's depend on where you are from. anywhere in western europe (EU) or the states, none needed. If you are from non EU country (serbia, macedonia, etc) you need one. Visas are so stupid, I think people should be allowed to go wherever they want. Luckily, alot of countries are starting to do away with them, now I dont need one for Ukraine or Moldova (& have since visited both, & had a great time) I still need one for Belarus & Russia. I'm thinking of visiting both next year. (been to RU last year, visa was no problem, just send money) and Georgia also (gonna ride around the Black Sea)
I bought a place in BG this year, gonna open a motorcycle hotel/campground. Its 15km east of Sevlievo, in a small village, at the foot of the Balkan mountains. I should be open by May. Of course I hope ADV riders will come & visit, 1st beer is on me!

I try to never hang out with other americans (except bikers) when I travel. If I wanted to do that, why bother to leave home?
I went to see Normandy & the D-Day beaches a couple years ago. it was pretty awe inspiring.

Maybe we can meet for a beer?

Hey,

I hope you guys can help me! I searching where to go next summer! Problem I really don't know where. The fact is, I want to go somewhere I can ride a lot of gravel/dirtroads. As I am from Belgium, I don't know how the roads are over there in the Balkan. The Balkan country's, romania, Portugal an Spain... are the country's I'm thinking of. Thing is, I don't know that there are a lot of unpaved roads and what's legal. As here in Belgium, there ain't a lot of dirtroads still open to motoriced traffic. So, how is it the Ex Joegoslavien coutry's. Gravel, law... Camping... Food!!!! Is there alot of difference bewteen the coutry's?

Thanks
Niki

Well... a benefit of a lax administration is the complete (AFAIK) absence of regulation regarding "green" roads in Serbia. Then there are roads that are classified as such, but are really nothing more than a beaten track...

Anyways, you should check www.bjbikers.com (Beton Jungle Bikers, don't ask )- it's a local forum where you could get more info. It's in Serbian, but you should be able to register by clicking the appropriate buttons, it's common sense-ish. When you do, feel free to post a message in English, there are more than enough folks there that speak the language, and they should have first-hand info on anything you might want to know.

Hey RTWDoug: How are things in N. Al? I never thought that I would still be here..

GStipe: I do, but am having issues with registration, and need to do some maintenance this winter. The bike is an early S10 750.

Damir: Excellent report on Tunisia.. You have a PM for Pristina.
