versys owners

I own one.........officially, although I have not touched it, seen it, sat on it, or spit on it yet.
I am in Hawaii, and thanks to the world of Ebay, I have a breand-new Versys sitting in New Jersey waiting for me.
Guess I will have to ride it over to California to get it home.
Bummer. All those miles with only a month to get there.
Poor, poor me.

Congratulations on the purchase of a 2009 Versys!

Hopefully you have checked the registration laws in California. A used vehicle must have 7,500 miles when purchased.

I think he's planning on riding it all the way from NJ to Cali to have it shipped to Hawaii!

Evening guys,

Been lurking here since I started thinking about getting a Versys. Currently own a Husky 610 which has been great but I'm not much of a mechanic and ordering/getting parts for it can be a PITA. Sounds like you all like your bikes! I wonder if I it's worth the wait to get a '09 model or if the '08s are about the same. Any advice?

Billy T you got some cajones to lean like that on a wet surface. Thanks I enjoyed the ride. Damn I wish the '09s would arrive in Sacramento.

The only difference will be a color choice. Or that is the rumor.

The road was not all that wet ,it was more of a fog then rain. I was surprised that the camera looked so clear.

I traded my Husky 610 sm for a 2008 (UK) Versys and haven't regretted it one bit..The Versys is easily useable as a supermoto as well as being a competent and capable tourer ( 1500 miles across France in a weekend and 450 trip to Donington)..Its way more fun than you would expect from the specs

WOW...Vacuum hose mod

Found this on KawasakiVersys, not sure if it was posted here before... It works great at almost fixing the jerkiness existent when running at low speed, think commuting at 10-20km/hr (wish I were back in Europe, lane splitting ). Plus it reduced some of the 4000RPM vibration, the engine runs smoother overall. In that thread are plenty of good advices on how to do it...good luck
