Beautiful bike. Is that an aftermarket can on there already?

It is... made by Scorpion. I ran a Scorpion system on a GTI a few
years back and loveed it. It helps bring a little aural gratification to this scoot.

Yesterday, I noticed the exhaust end is real close to the rear tire. I'm thinking I'd like to put something a little more agressive on the rear rim, but looks like that piece may get in the way. So, if I can find something that will mount out of the way and be close to as quiet as the stock can, I'd change it. How's that one for volumn and cost?

Notice the upside down OEM windscreen??? Works much better this way... on the highest setting.

Hamsters are not OEM.

This is New York, so gotta have a good LOCK handy at all times...

Upside down OEM windscreen closeup. You'd think Kawasaki quality control would get the company name rightside up before shipping out. Geeze!

Yes, much better upside down. I also tried the Givi screen and it made a lot more noise, even though it provided better wind protection overall.

Upside down at the highest setting works best for me. Once I get over 75mph I start to really feel the effects of the limited coverage on my chest and shoulders. I'm 5' 10" 175 lbs.

But hey, going 80mph would be breaking the law in these parts. Actually going 75mph would be too, but I've never heard of a rider on a bright red, speeding motorcycle getting pulled over... have you?

I sold my DRZ last weekend to get it. The DRZ was a great bike for what it was, but I'm ready for something a little different. So far, I really like it!

I will say this much, the Versys seat is WAY more comfortable than the DRZ seat!

So I got my wife to come with me on a trip out to White Sands, NM (about 100 miles). The V did fine with the both of us on it. My wife enjoyed riding too (her 2nd time, first was yesterday for 30 mins.). Although on the way back there were 20-25 mph winds.....the wife didn't like that so much! But a good trip all in all.......and the pics....
