Had to ride it home on wet roads but it was great knowing that I had a Versys again. Tried to keep it under 70 mph but it is almost impossible. They had one more left but it was still in the crate. I am hoping that I do not need it any time soon.

I am curious with the amount of sales if they will change anything for 09 other than California friendly. ABS would be sweet!

Suzuki has been seeing a lot of demand for their ABS-equipped bikes. I don't think that has gone unnoticed. ABS is already offered on the Versys in most other markets. The Kawa dealer in Indy said Kawasaki has been experiencing higher demand for the ABS C14 than they were expecting.

For what it's worth... I've been digging around some other websites, and it looks like the Kawasaki trim kit will yield black trim, not red.
I've read numerous accounts of people (in the US) who have ordered the Kawi part number and when they open the box, the pieces are gloss black. Has anyone here in ADV-land had a similar result?

Got my bags yesterday and they are black. Painted them this morning. Now they are red.

Then why not order the bags from Givi? I'm sure they do get the color right if you order it in red.

The Givi bags just come in black. The Kawasaki bags are cheaper.

Is the paint code easy to find? I know a few people who paint for a living, and are good at it.

Congrats on the new bike!

I checked the Givi website, it sure looks like they do not offer the V35 bags in red (only gloss black, silver and grey listed as options). I could have sworn they used to offer them in red for VFRs (very similar color).

Mine are red Just took about 15 minutes to make them that way. The dealership said they would send them back and try it again. The odds did not seem to good on getting red ones.

Holy crap the Givi stuff is expensive. $490 for the bags, $230 for the racks.

What is the seat-bag of choice for this strange creature?
